I was trying to find some extra specifics on setting limiters in a Crown iTech (8000 to be exact). In the "RMS Power" side of the output limiter section there is a threshold, attack and release which I get, but what does the "Rated(nominal)" do? Is it a rated power of the driver or a ohm value?

My next question is say I have two 8 ohm speakers that are rated for 1000 watts each (just for an example). I am assuming that would be a 2000 watt threshold on the rms limiter?

I saw the application guide in the iTech section on the crown website, but is there any more documentation that goes more in depth in regards to the controls with itech and system architect?

Thanks!

I would like to see more information for this for different manufactures, if possible.

I have only have the specs for the SRX728S, specifically.

I'd love to see some presets for the itch's and 728's. A lot of people use them with Vertec, so it would be nice to see something from JBL come out

got a new ITech 8000 that i was proud of, ....um sorry for being personal but the best thing I could have done with it was leave it in the box. Its the biggest peise of SH*T that I bought. there are more issues with it than dodge trucks!. my main cap borad went out and crown told me 780 to repair it. I just got it last june. due to the Itech I will be pulling all my crown amps out of my racks and putting in Lab gruppens. Anyone interested in any amps ? they say Crown
