HARMAN HiQnet™ PRODUCT LINE EXPANDING AT RECORD RATE

A 50% increase in product offerings over just two months further propels HiQnet into the mainstream as the de facto standard for networked audio.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, March 16, 2006 -
Coincident with the introduction of HiQnet System Architect™ version 1.1 software at NSCA 2006, the Harman Pro Group today announced that market momentum for the Harman HiQnet network and communications protocol had achieved critical mass, with over 22 thousand HiQnet-compatible devices sold to date, over $24 million in sales. Ending the 2005 calendar year with a total of 38 HiQnet-compatible products available, Harman HiQnet was well established in its first year. But the remarkable jump to 57 available products within the first two months of 2006 has further expanded the possibilities of HiQnet. An increase of 50% in the product line demonstrates Harman's firm commitment to providing networked audio solutions industry-wide.

In addition to the 2006 NSCA Show introduction of System Architect software version 1.1, other new Harman Pro Group products enabled with HiQnet connectivity include the recently introduced Crown CTs 4200 and CTs 8200 amplifier models which feature in-built HiQnet and CobraNet networking capabilities. Also from Crown, NSCA sees the launch of the XTi Series and CDi Series amplifiers and from JBL Professional, the launch of VP Series, a twelve- model HiQnet-enabled series.
